Blood coming from the periphery enters the right atrium and is transferred to the right ventricle. From here, the pumping action of the right ventricle moves the blood to the lungs. The blood, now rich in oxygen, is returned to the left atrium, and moved on to the left ventricle. This is the strongest part of the human heart. Under the control of its efficient excitatory mechanism, it pumps the blood to the brain and to the periphery of the human body, even if the person is upside down. Directly behind the aortic valve cusps,blood passes into the coronary vessels, which have the task of supplying blood to the heart.
